Role Overview:
The Director of Finance serves as a key member of Green Ummah’s volunteer Board of Directors, providing strategic oversight and leadership of the organization’s finances. This individual works closely with fellow board members and an accountant to ensure transparent, accurate, and compliant financial management that supports Green Ummah’s mission and growth.

As Director of Finance, you’ll play a crucial role in advancing Green Ummah’s mission by ensuring our financial sustainability and helping guide our growth. You’ll join a passionate, values-driven team committed to environmental justice and making a meaningful impact for both people and the planet.
Educational consultants will work to match our proposed curriculum to learning standards for high school students in Canada and support the development of related materials. This will be a paid opportunity that runs from March 2021 to May 2021, with a total expected time commitment of 24 hours.
Experience with teaching and/or curriculum development. While not required, we will prioritize those with experience with high school students.
Knowledge about learning standards in Ontario.
Experience with creating background material for teachers (eg. rubrics, etc.).
Comfort with adapting/elevating the pedagogy to integrate a sense of fun for students.
Ability to assess the efficacy and impact of our curriculum modules.
The web consultant will support the digital component of our Green Curriculum by building our final product. This will be a paid opportunity that runs from March 2021 to May 2021, with a total expected time commitment of 24 hours, with the possibility of renewal after May 2021 based on project funding.
Experience with web development. Any “module” development experience is an added asset.
Ability to update the Green Ummah website to host our curriculum and/or recommend new platforms with the ability to host this material.
